The British Tag

I recently saw this tag on Erika's blog. Bear in mind this is quite an old tag I think, but I knew I just had to do it!

How many cups of tea do you have a day? How many sugars?

At the moment I'm not drinking too much tea, we don't have a kettle at the moment. But I do love a good cup of chai tea. Sugar? No. Apparently it's not good to have sugar with your tea - well yeah, it's sugar. If I do have tea though, it's usually around 3-4 cups a week.

Favourite part of a roast?

Definitely the potatoes. I love roast potatoes! I don't actually have a roast on Sundays but when I do at someone's house I'm always after the potatoes.

Favourite dunking biscuit?

I love dunking biscuits in my tea (apart from when the thing drops off and you're left with a lump soggy biscuit in your tea). I'd say my favourite would be a digestive biscuit, they aren't too sweet and I love how they taste after dunking them.

Favourite quintessential British past-time?

I love watching the Great British Bake Off! (That has to count since it has the word 'British' in it).

Favourite word?

I'm not entirely sure I even have a favourite word. It probably would have been easier for you to ask me my least favourite word - that's probably be 'like', 'basically' or 'literally'.

Cockney rhyming slang?

Not sure what that is, but I'm sure I've probably used it once in my life.

Favourite Sweet?

Jelly Bellies. Oh yes!

What would your pub be called?

The Ombré Waterfalls? I think that sounds quite nice.. I've never thought about it...

Nº1 British Person?

Has to be Emma Watson. I'm pretty sure she was one of the reasons I continued watching Harry Potter.

Favourite shop / restaurant?

I don't really know any British restaurants but I've been to Mark's and Spencer's, and I do like the food they sell in there.

What British song pops into your head?

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding - Oh I love that song!

Marmite?

Actually I'm not sure if I've tried it or not, but I must have because I can tell what it tastes like in my mind - so no, I hate it.

Who I tag?

I tag everyone to do this! (just make sure you're British).

February Favourites

February has ended which means another monthly favourites from me! Let's get straight into this! (No really, we need to get going otherwise before you know it, it will be the end of March).

Favourite Book:

I've read so many books this month, but there is one that's stood out so much for me! The Hunger Games. I guess it took me a while to actually end up reading it, but I'm so glad I did because this has become one of my all time favourite reads (hence why I have mentioned it so much on this blog).

Favourite Food:

Meat Feast BBQ pizza. Mmm yeah. This is just as good as it sounds. I may not get to eat meat very often - but this makes up for all the times I haven't eaten it.

Favourite TV Series:

Recently at the end of last month I got really into this show called Once Upon A Time. I'm sure you've all heard of it - but if you haven't, it's so good. You really MUST watch it.

Favourite Music:

Uptown funk gon' give it to you! Urgh I can't get this song out of my head! Luckily though, it's a really good song - so I'm not too bothered about it.

Favourite Make-up Item:

I haven't really been wearing make-up this month, but when I did, it was just some quick eye-liner and mascara. I decided to choose my Primark  P.S Love felt eye-liner. It may be cheap (1.50€), but it does it's job properly - it's cheap, easy to apply and to remove.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I would classify as my all time favourite books

This one should be fun since I have so many amazing books which I enjoyed so much!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original meme created by The Broke and Bookish.

Geek Girl by Holly Smale

Geek Girl is probably the first book I've properly laughed out loud for. There is no way I'd write this list without this extremely enjoyable and laughable read.

Firelight by Sophie Jordan

*Sighs* I really wish she'd continue this series...

Sigrun's Secret by Marie-Louise Jensen

I don't think I've mentioned this book before. I figured I'd have to include one of her books since she's my favourite author. Sigrun's Secret is my pick.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I thoroughly enjoyed this read much more than I anticipated to. I didn't think it would be my thing - but I was wrong. How do I even explain how amazing this was?!?

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

I don't care at all who wrote this book. It's made it to my all time favourites list. That should explain everything for you.

Glitter by Kate Maryon

I may have read this book quite a while ago, but considering I've read it 5 or 6 times, I'm pretty sure you would say it should be on my favourites list.

The Tail of Emily Windsnap by Liz Kessler

This one was a 'hmm' type of choice. It was really good, but then again, is it good enough to make my top favourites? In the end I realised I did actually really enjoy it.

Scarlett by Cathy Cassidy

Scarlett_book
The cover isn't my favourite, but the story was much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend checking out the book.

The Remarkable Life and Times of Eliza Rose by Mary Hooper

The Remarkable Life and Times of Eliza Rose
Unlike the previous favourite, I love this cover! The colours, fonts and style match perfectly for the story inside. I wouldn't hesitate to read this one again!

My Best Friend and Other Enemies by Catherine Wilkins

My Best Friend and Other Enemies (My Best Friend, #1)
I really loved reading this! It's funny, and very relatable to real life situations.
