The British Tag

I recently saw this tag on Erika's blog. Bear in mind this is quite an old tag I think, but I knew I just had to do it!

How many cups of tea do you have a day? How many sugars?

At the moment I'm not drinking too much tea, we don't have a kettle at the moment. But I do love a good cup of chai tea. Sugar? No. Apparently it's not good to have sugar with your tea - well yeah, it's sugar. If I do have tea though, it's usually around 3-4 cups a week.

Favourite part of a roast?

Definitely the potatoes. I love roast potatoes! I don't actually have a roast on Sundays but when I do at someone's house I'm always after the potatoes.

Favourite dunking biscuit?

I love dunking biscuits in my tea (apart from when the thing drops off and you're left with a lump soggy biscuit in your tea). I'd say my favourite would be a digestive biscuit, they aren't too sweet and I love how they taste after dunking them.

Favourite quintessential British past-time?

I love watching the Great British Bake Off! (That has to count since it has the word 'British' in it).

Favourite word?

I'm not entirely sure I even have a favourite word. It probably would have been easier for you to ask me my least favourite word - that's probably be 'like', 'basically' or 'literally'.

Cockney rhyming slang?

Not sure what that is, but I'm sure I've probably used it once in my life.

Favourite Sweet?

Jelly Bellies. Oh yes!

What would your pub be called?

The Ombré Waterfalls? I think that sounds quite nice.. I've never thought about it...

Nº1 British Person?

Has to be Emma Watson. I'm pretty sure she was one of the reasons I continued watching Harry Potter.

Favourite shop / restaurant?

I don't really know any British restaurants but I've been to Mark's and Spencer's, and I do like the food they sell in there.

What British song pops into your head?

Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding - Oh I love that song!

Marmite?

Actually I'm not sure if I've tried it or not, but I must have because I can tell what it tastes like in my mind - so no, I hate it.

Who I tag?

I tag everyone to do this! (just make sure you're British).

Would You Rather: Book Edition

Since I'm new to the blogging life, my mind was fresh with ideas. Along with all the other previously posted posts (I wish there was another word for 'posts'), I came up with the Would You Rather: Book Edition. I'm not entirely sure whether others have done this (I'm sure they have), but lets get on with the questions!

Would You Rather...

...Only ever read books that you didn't like at all, but read as many as you want. Or only be able to read your favourite book over and over again?

Well, this may be a tricky one. You could say that even if you didn't read your favourite books, they last longer because you don't want to read them - so it means you get to read less of them. However, if you read a book that you enjoyed, you're left with memories and dreams from that book. *Huffs* I'm going to be all 'Hazel Grace' and only ever read my favourite book - and yes in my case my favourite book would be the equivalent Hazel's 'Imperial Affliction'.

Would You Rather...

...Burn all your favourite books, or get strapped in a chair while spiders climb all over you?

What?! How am I meant to answer that? Well I suppose the spiders is a one off (even if you're left with the horrible memory), who knows, I could end up loving spiders. Although I have come to the conclusion that, instead of going through the experience that would only ever happen in a horror film, I would burn all my favourite books, memorise which ones they are, and just go and buy myself all the ones I lost. I know right...very thoughtful.

Would You Rather...

...Save one of your favourite books or save all the books you didn't like during a zombie apocalypse?

Hmm...I would probably go with saving one of my favourite books. I mean, it's not as if you have a lot of time to read during a zombie apocalypse?

Would You Rather...

Be allowed to use the internet but never read books. Or only read books and never go on the internet?

This could either go down to which one I use the most - which would be internet. I was going to say I could find books on the internet, but that would be cheating the question. I'm going to go with not going on the internet. I'm pretty sure I couldn't last a week without reading something!

Would You Rather...

Read books or watch films?

This is quite the classic would you rather question. As much as I want to say films, I'm going to say books. With films, they can be pretty amazing, but so can books, and with books you can imagine the scene exactly how you want it.

That's it for this post. I was going to keep it short, it did take me a while to come up with the questions. I really hope you liked it!

Would you rather read books from one of your favourite genres? Or Read books from all genres except your favourite?

The Get to Know Me Tag

Hi there!

If you read my first proper post: 'Review: Girl Online by Zoe Sugg' then I do hope you enjoyed it. I certainly had fun writing it. I was searching around on different blogs and discovered 'Get To Know Me Tag'. I figured this would be a great way for you to get to know me a little better.
The: 'To Get to Know me Tag' was originally created by She Loves to Read.
What are 5 Facts About You?
  1. I love cheesecake, especially with black cherry pie filling on top.
  2. My bedroom theme is currently lime green and pink (looks better than it sounds!).
  3. My top 3 favourite authors (in no particular order) are: Marie-Louise Jensen, Jo MacAuley and Mary Hooper.
  4. I spend most of my time reading, and now I spend lots of time on my blog.
  5. I go to an online school.

When is Your Birthday?

My birthday is the 12 of July, I actually share a birthday with my little sister. I don't really remember what I did last year, however, I always end up getting LOTS of books from my family.

What is Your Favourite Colour?

I used to say pink, but I think I've grown out of it *looks around pink room and sees everything covered with pink...* My favourite colour now, would probably be a nice baby blue.

What is Your Favourite Memory?

Ooh...tough question! I don't really have a favourite memory, I think I'm going to say the Yr7 camping trip. I didn't exactly have many friends on that trip, but that didn't stop me from having a great time.

Describe a Day in You Life.

Well, it usually starts with me waking up at about 9:30-10 am. Since I go to an online school I get to start at 10:30. I use the little time before to grab some breakfast which is either cereal or toast. During break I usually have a shower and get dressed. After the lesson I do some homework and talk to my friends on Skype. For lunch it's either pasta or sandwich usually. For the rest of the afternoon, I do some blog work, reading, watching some videos and doing my homework. We have dinner and then I read until around 10:50 and then go to sleep. Zzzzzzzzz

Name Five of Your Favourite Songs.

Although I don't listen to it often, I really do like music! Here are my top 5:

  1. Burn - Ellie Goulding
  2. Rockstar - A Great Big World
  3. Girls on TV - The Vamps
  4. Be My Forever - Christina Perri (ft Ed Sheeran)
  5. Blank Space - Taylor Swift

If You Could Eat One Thing for The Rest of Your Life, What Would it Be?

Well as far as I know, this situation would only come up if all the other food was eaten and your favourite happened to be the only one left. Or it's possible that they made robot chefs who were stuck on only making one thing...

I would probably go for a goats cheese salad. What can I say, I do like a good goat's cheese salad. But if all the goats cheese went bad, then my next 2nd choice would be sweet and sour pork. Yum!

Summer or Winter?

Summer. I used to say winter because it's so cold and I love the cold. However, at the same time you can do a lot more things in summer, like swimming, sports, and at the same time you can still sit and read a book, just as long as it's not too hot!

If You Could Live Anywhere in The World, Where Would You Live and Why?

Is it just me, or are these questions getting harder? I'm going to say that I'd like to live in Italy. Preferably when I'm grown up. Even though I've never been there, it looks like it came out of a fairytale book, with all the cobble streets and all the famous structures (like the leaning tower of Pisa).

Name 5 of Your Favourite Films.

  1. Secret of Moonacre
  2. Divergent
  3. Thor: The Dark World
  4. The Croods
  5.  Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Favourite Day of the Week?

Thursday. On Thursday I have maths, and I love maths. My weekend practically starts on Thursday!

Favourite Drink?

I really like ginger beer (don't worry it's not alcoholic!) I also really just like water, lemonade or a cup of chai tea.

Favourite Animal?

I'm going to have to say either a dog, cat or horse. They are pretty popular pets, and obviously I don't mean a horse as an indoor pet - now that would just be ridiculous! I love dogs because they love to play and follow you around. I love cats because they can be so calm and don't have gross habits. I love horses because they can be so friendly, and I love to ride them!

I Tag...

All of you! If you want me to check out your 'Get to Know me Tag', just leave it as a comment below and I'll take a look as soon as I can.

What's ONE word that describes you?
